Prof. Ming-Chang Lu (呂明璋) received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 2010. He was a visiting research student at Tokyo University in 2000 and a visiting scholar at the University of California in 2006. He worked at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan from 2002 to 2006. He joined National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) in 2010. He is now an Associate Professor and vice chairman of the Mechanical Engineering department in NCTU. He was awarded as Distinguished Young Scholar by the Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of Republic of China in 2015. He also received the 2015 Ta-You Wu Memorial Award of Ministry of Science and Technology. His research focuses on enhancing thermal energy transportation, storage, and conversion efficiency using micro/nano structures.
